Rules

General Rules/Instructions:

Each participant must choose a total of Fourteen players. The participant who chooses the Fourteen players that hit the most combined HOME RUNS by the end of each month (April - September) WINS. Combined Home Runs exclude: All-Star Game, Play Offs and World Series competition. Choose one  player by clicking on the down arrow keys for each Category and Selection box. The players in Categories A, B, C and D are not repeated in Selections 1 - 10.(See Sample of Player Selection Entry Page).  After you click on the submit button, you will receive a confirmation of your entry.  If you made a mistake or change your mind about your selections, click back on your browser, make the changes you want and then resubmit your entry. After you register and submit your entry, you can display your entry at any time by clicking on Display Entry on the Home Page. Before the sign-up periods end, you can change you entry at any time by clicking on the Update Entry on the Home Page. Each group or league manager establishes a 1 to 2 week sign-up period during the 1st and 3rd weeks of April for your league to submit their entries. After sign-up periods end, you will not be able to update your entry.  The League/Group entree fee is $20.

UserName Password:

Choose a unique User Name and Password. If someone can guess your User Name and/or Password,  they may change your entry. Choose a Password that only you will remember and PLEASE!...do not use an apostrophe in your User Name,  Password or Group Name. If you are joining as a member of a particular group and plan on submitting more than one entry, you must register each entry separately and each entry must include a unique user name and password. Please provide a legitimate Email Address.  If you don't have an email address, you can get one FREE from  Yahoo, Hotmail, etc. 

Group Name:

You can create your own private group for you, your friends and co-workers and establish your own prizes for FREE.  Creating your own Group is like having your own HomeRunDerby pool, but without the hassle. You setup the rules. Your members submit their entries and HomeRunDerby calculates the results for your Group each day. Each group has their own leaderboard, but there are no prizes from HomeRunDerby for winning in a private group. The League/Group entry fee is $20. 

To create your own Private Group:
Email the name of  your group to:  tomk511572@aol.com. Your group name will be set-up and added to the Registration page within 24 hours. After your group name has been added to the list,  have the members of your group register using the name of your new group. If any members of your group plan on submitting more than one entry, they must register each entry separately and each entry must include a unique user name and password. Please do not use an apostrophe in your group name. (Use Yankees instead of Yankee's). 

HomeRunDerby Security
HomeRunDerby does not use cookies to track its visitors. Your personal information (Email Address, UserID and Password) is entered into a secure database and is never compromised or divulged to anyone. For security reasons your personal information is purged from the database each year and re-established if/when you re-register the following year.


ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS FOR ENTERING:

There is no minimum age limit on who may play Home Run Derby, however, you must be at least 13 years old in order to win a Home Run Derby prize. HomeRunDerby is open to all residents of the fifty United States and the District of Columbia (excluding Florida), and to all residents of Canada (excluding residents of Quebec) who are 18 years of age or older (or the age of majority in their province) at time of entry. Void where prohibited by law. HomeRunDerby assumes no responsibility for incomplete, late, lost or misdirected entries, or entries received through impermissible or illegitimate channels; for failed, partial or garbled computer transmissions, or for technical failures of any kind.

RESTRICTIONS ON NUMBER OF ENTRIES - LIMIT:

ONE (1) entry per person (excluding Private Groups that allow multiple entries. Private Groups setup their own rules and establish their own prize(s), if any. Private Groups are also solely responsible for establishing their own eligibility requirements for entering ). Any entrant who attempts to enter with multiple e-mail addresses or under multiple identities, or uses any other device to enter multiple times will be disqualified.
