Rules

Rules/Instructions:
Each participant must choose a total of Fourteen players. The participant who chooses the Fourteen players who hit the most combined HOME RUNS by the end of the regular 2010 Major League Baseball (MLB) season ...WINS. Combined Home Runs exclude: All-Star Game, Play Offs and World Series competition. Choose one  player by clicking on the down arrow keys for each Category and Selection boxs. The players in Categories A, B, C and D are not repeated in Selections 1 - 10.(See Sample of Player Selection Entry Page).  After you click on the submit button, you will receive a confirmation of your entry. After you signup and submit your entry, you can display and update your entry at any time by clicking on Display Entry or Update Entry on the Home Page.  Each group or league manager establishes a 1,  2, or 3 week sign-up period during the Month of April for there league members to submit their entries. After your sign-up period ends, except for HomeRunDerby-Free members, you will not be able to update your entry.

During the Allstar break in July, you will have a opportunity to drop and add one new player to your roster. Selections (1-10) only.

You can create your own private group for you, your friends and co-workers and establish your own prizes. Creating your own Group is like having your own HomeRunDerby pool, but without the hassle. You setup the rules. Your members submit their entries and HomeRunDerby calculates the results for your Group each day. Each group has their own leaderboard, but there are no prizes from HomeRunDerby for winning in a private group.

Select NewGroup 0/00/0000 from GroupName drop-down box and then enter the name of your new Group in the space provided, New Group. Then choose a CutOff Date (click in the box and a calendar will appear) for your new Group. Most Managers provide at least one week to allow there members to submit there Entries. After you (the Manager) sign-up, your new GroupName with your CutOff Date will appear automatically in the GroupName drop-down box. Notify the members of your group to sign-up using your new groupname. The cost is $20.00 for new groups. People who select the default, HomeRunDerby-Free have no CutOff Date to establish.

HomeRunDerby Security:
Your personal information (Email Address, UserID and Password) is entered into a secure database and is never compromised or divulged to anyone. Each year your personal information is purged from the database and re-established if/when you re-register the following year.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS FOR ENTERING: There is no minimum age limit on who may play Home Run Derby, however, you must be at least 13 years old in order to win a Home Run Derby prize. HomeRunDerby is open to all residents of the fifty United States and the District of Columbia (excluding Florida), and to all residents of Canada (excluding residents of Quebec) who are 18 years of age or older (or the age of majority in their province) at time of entry. Void where prohibited by law. HomeRunDerby assumes no responsibility for incomplete, late, lost or misdirected entries, or entries received through impermissible or illegitimate channels; for failed, partial or garbled computer transmissions, or for technical failures of any kind.
 
RESTRICTIONS ON NUMBER OF ENTRIES - LIMIT: ONE (1) entry per person (excluding Private Groups that allow multiple entries. Private Groups setup their own rules and establish their own prize(s), if any. Private Groups are also solely responsible for establishing their own eligibility requirements for entering ). Any entrant who attempts to enter with multiple e-mail addresses or under multiple identities, or uses any other device to enter multiple times will be disqualified.
